AV's history of developing advanced Clean Energy system technologies
dates back to its earliest projects. Since 1971 the company and its
people have established numerous groundbreaking clean energy
milestones, including designing and flying the world's first human
powered aircraft, the Gossamer Condor, and the first solar powered
manned aircraft, the Solar Challenger. AV also designed and built the
GM Sunraycer, which set a record for solar powered vehicles.
Today,
AV's Clean Energy projects can be found harvesting wind energy, solar
energy, and ocean energy. These solutions, whether they provide power
for remote applications or are utility grid-connected, deliver Clean
Energy that improves our lives and minimizes our impact on the
environment.
